Computer-based tests
Operating system: Windows 10 or higher, macOS Sierra 10.12.1 or higher, or the latest Chrome OS version.
Wi-Fi enabled: Your laptop must be able to connect to a wireless network.
Charge your laptop fully: Your laptop must have a full charge before the test and be capable of running for at least 4 hours without access to a power outlet.
Backup power bank: There will be NO power outlets available for your laptop. If you're concerned about your laptop's battery life, please bring a fully charged power bank and a compatible charging cable.
Web browser: Ensure your laptop has the latest version of a web browser installed. Google Chrome is highly recommended to avoid any technical issues.
An additional $50 fee applies for device rental.
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental laptop caused by your child's negligence or misuse.
Stocks are very limited.
Parents can expect to receive their test outcome advice email on 10th November 2024. The email will include a download link for accessing their child's outcome report.

Registration is open for Year 5 students who will sit the 2025 selective high school placement test.
While we have made every effort to ensure an accurate testing experience, we do not provide any express or implied warranties, endorsements, or representations regarding the accuracy or suitability of this mock test for any specific purpose.
This test is independently produced by Pre-Uni New College and is not officially endorsed by the NSW Department of Education.
The actual selective high school exam may differ in format, content, and difficulty.
The test venue and schedule are subject to change depending on the number of participants.
The fee discount is available only to students who enrolled in the 2024 Term 1, Term 2 or Term 3 full-term WEMT, STTC, Thinking Skills or Writing course at Pre-Uni New College.
All test questions remain confidential and are not available for review after the exam.
Cancellation of registration will not be eligible for refunds or credits.
If a student's laptop fails during the test and they need to use a rental laptop without having booked it in advance, their parents will be charged a $50 rental fee.
We are not responsible for any damage to students' laptops. However, parents will be held liable for any damage to rental laptops.
